We only have one scene so far, but for demonstration purposes we will assign a scene number to it at this time.
• Select the Renumber Scenes... command from the Scene Numbers submenu in the Format menu.
The following dialog box appears:
 
For this example, we will use the default settings shown:
Renumber every scene from the top of the script, starting with scene number 1.
• Click in the Renumber button.
The dialog box disappears and we are returned to the Script Window.
The window now appears as follows:
 
The number '1' appears to the left and the right of the single scene we have entered. Although the positioning of the scene numbers is changeable, we will use the default settings for the purposes of this tutorial.
The Page # label at the bottom of the window now reads: "Page: 1 Scene: 1". This indicates the page we are on as well as the scene number for the current caret position.
